The Primordial Masters were the rulers of the Astral Realms during the Age of Horrors and into the Age of Miracles. They were beings of chaos and cruelty who sought to subjugate all of the life that existed across the realms. Chief among them was Hagd’Bar of the Central Realm, who was killed by the god Ur, which began the Age of Miracles and the downfall of the Primordial Masters.
Echoes of the Primordial Masters still persist in the world even though they are all long gone. The Demon Lords and Archdevils were lieutenants of the Masters who were convinced to defect and join the fight against them, along with many other evil creatures of great power.
In the wake of the war, the gods were split as to their opinions of the Masters and how they would rule their worlds. There were those who, like Ur, saw that the Masters were terrible creatures and sought to ensure that their likes would never see the world again. Those beings called themselves good. Then there were those that admitted that the Masters had indeed gone too far, but they were all they knew for how to rule and they saw nothing wrong with ruling as they had, as long as no one was doing it to them. These beings were dubbed as evil. And then there were those that just wanted to put the whole mess behind them and focus on what they had now. They remained neutral in the whole argument.
